Description

Angiotensin II Receptor Type 1 or AT1 receptor is the receptor for angiotensin II. It mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Angiotensin II receptor antagonists are drugs indicated for hypertension, diabetic nephropathy and congestive heart failure.
